Software for Resistor decade (Rbox)

The Rbox can be remotely controlled via RS232C serial line or USB 2.0 or Ethernet or GPIB interface from a PC with LabView for MS Windows.

The control software allows entry of the desired resistance via virtual keyboard or simulation of three resistance thermometers (PT100 or PT500 or PT1000) in range from -200°C to 850°C. The temperature either in °C or in Fahrenheit can be entered via the keyboard or rotary knob. The conversion from temperature to resistance is calculated using two different RTD coefficients. The requested or calculated resistance for the RTD simulation is sent as a command sequence to the Rbox.

The virtual instrument allow also time-simulation. The command code sequence represented the resistance or resistance converted from Temperature for RTD simulation is sent to Rbox in time-sequence with a user defined delay. The time sequence can be linear or calculated by a mathematical function or from a prepared file.

The virtual instruments allows also a setup and calibration of each resistor inside the Rbox.
